OVERVIEW and GOALS

INTRODUCTION

Coding is the language of things, which allows us to write programs. However, technology is not strictly required to develop computational thinking, as we demonstrate by doing this activity

3º ESO students celebrated the EU Coding Week by developing this lesson that introduces an unplugged coding activity by engaging pupils in a competitive/cooperative game that makes them familiarize with the main principles of coding while also testing their curricular competences.

By doing this activity the students heard about the celebration of the EU Coding Week. By this time a LEGO contest was publicated in STEM Alliance and the Science Week was about to be celebrated in my school. So I joined all these events, together with the curricular content we were studying at that time (electricity) and...THIS LESSON ACTIVITY WAS BORN!!

In the description appears THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION, why!!??
Because in Geography and History they also use LEGO to better understand the Industrial Revolution. Keeping in mind that the coding activity is focused on LEGO we found really interesting to join both projects in the same blog.
